Work you’ll do

· Develop solutions following established technical design, application development standards and quality processes in projects

· Assess the impacts on technical design because of the changes in functional requirements.

· Interact with other stakeholders not limited to end-user clients, Project Manager/Scrum master, Business Analysts, offshore development, testing and other cross-functional teams.

· Perform independent code reviews and execute unit tests on modules developed by self and other junior team members on the project.

· Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code meeting code quality and security standards.

· Interact with other stakeholders not limited to end-user clients, Project Manager/Scrum master, Business Analysts, offshore development, testing and other cross-functional teams.

· Perform detailed reviews on deliverables. Provide technical guidance to the team members.

CBO Cloud Engineering Team

The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Qualifications 

Required: 

· 4 to 6 years of web or application development experience using Java / JEE, technology stack.

· Strong conceptual knowledge of: OOPS, Core Java, Collections, Multithreading etc.

· Strong hands-on experience in developing JAVA/J2EE enterprise applications using micro services frameworks like Spring Boot.

· Strong experience in Spring Framework such as Spring MVC, IOC, AOP and Spring JDBC.

· Strong experience using RDMS such as Oracle, SQLServer,MySQL.

· Strong experience in ORM (e.g. JPA, Hibernate), SQL and developing REST APIs using Jersey framework.

· Experience in designing front end interfaces using Angular, React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and AngularJS.

· Hands on experience with build and deployment tools such as Ant or Maven or Gradle.

· Experienced in Test Driven development using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito ; static and dynamic code analysis using code quality tools like SonarQube, Jacoco, Checkmrx,to ensure high standards of code quality.

· Excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.

· Experience in developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, PCF,

· Experience with webservice development (SOAP / REST)

· Experience with software design patterns like creational, structural, behavioral and concurrency patterns.

· Ability to write build/configuration scripts using build tools (Ant, Maven and scripting) and code configuration tools (Subversion, Github, Perforce etc.)

· Ability to work with automated unit test frameworks like Junit

· Ability to write SQL with simple Joins on RDBMS or unstructured databases like MongoDB

· Ability to quickly learn and deliver on analogous technologies not previously worked on.

· Ability to communicate clearly across teams in the project

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

· Experience in different architectural designs for complex enterprises.

· Experience with JMS, listeners configuration, queue configuration etc., batch scheduling.

· Experience with Application Performance Management and Monitoring tools.

· Experience on Agile/Scrum based delivery.

· Industry recognized Technology Certification.

· Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

· Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
