Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering

The Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.
Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering will work with our clients to:
- Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance, and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms.
- Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions.
- Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise, and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
- Experience with J2EE Framework components such as Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC
- Experience with an application server such as WebSphere or WebLogic
- Good understanding of developing Web-services
- Experience with Enterprise JavaBeans, Java Servlets and Extensive Markup Language (XML)
- 3+ years of experience in Relational database design, implementation, configuration, and query experience such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, MongoDB and/or similar
- 3+ years of experience in developing with Spring and Spring Boot developing REST API endpoints; developing web applications using the Angular or other modern frameworks like React, JQuery
- 3+ years of knowledge on MVC framework like Spring/Struts/Grails and ORM tools such as Hibernate, MyBatis
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript Strong technical skills including understanding of software development principles
- 2+ years of experience in developing in a modern cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure,GCP)
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred
- Certifications in system administration, system architecture, virtualization or cloud technologies preferred.
- Work experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, EC2, ALB, IAM, and SQS

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $77,000 to $128,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
