Work you’ll do / responsibilities:
We are seeking a Federal Strategic Sourcing Consultant to join our GPS Sourcing & Procurement team to provide procurement and strategic sourcing consulting support to federal clients. This opportunity is for a strong professional who will address our clients’ most pressing challenges across the federal acquisition landscape. In this role, you will:
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work processes and provide innovative approaches to completing the scope of work.
- Leverage data to make informed business decisions and validate recommended courses of actions.
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.
- Improve customer service operations and develop efficient and effective solutions given the constraints present in the federal procurement environment.
- Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.
- Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients.
For this role, an ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as well as working knowledge of recent federal acquisition initiatives/policy (e.g., Category Management/Spend Under Management, Best-in-Class contract vehicles). Direct experience as a Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer is preferred as is work experience with Federal Health clients. Proficiency working with federal spend data and translating resulting data sets into actionable business intelligence and experience with analytics software applications outside of MS Excel (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus.

- Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
