Work you’ll do

Working on some unique projects in our sector, you’ll have the opportunity to assist end users by providing production support. Your time will be spent not only working on break fixes and testing and maintenance, but also working on enhancement requests.   

Essential Functions:

    

  • Experience in Epic Bridges, HL7 and any integration engine
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, analysis, design of functional and specification documents to meet the business need.
  • Knowledge/hands on experience on  interface engines such as Rhapsody, Mirth, Cloverleaf
  • Hands on experience building interfaces using integration engines like Mirth, WMB, and cloverleaf.
  • Expertise building real-time, batch and file transfer interfaces for ADT, ORM, ORU, RDE, DFT, SIU, MDM transaction types.
  • Experience working on and configuring message transfer protocols including TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, Web Services (SOAP) etc.
  • Proficient in performing Unit testing, System testing, Integrated testing, Regression testing and assisting with UAT
  • Experience with the change management process for implementation of interfaces,
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience working with Interoperability standards such as  HL7 V2.x and FHIR.
  • Handle data translation and storage of FHIR messages received in various versions (DST2, STU3, R4, and beyond), Connect to Epic using FHIR compliant APIs to perform the development.
  • Strong Knowledge Authentication and Authorization, HIPAA security guidelines specifically as to how they pertain to FHIR Client and Server implementations, FHIR Profiles
  • Performs functional review, analyzes, support and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe and server based computer business system.
  • Works effectively with a variety of Information Systems concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains project plans for medium and small projects.
  • Performs analysis based on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals related to the implementation of computerized business solutions.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks related to the maintenance and development of computer business system support
  • Perform Interface configuration and build changes
  • Direct and participate in testing processes
  • Direct routine regression testing processes and validate testing outcomes
  • Accurately document and appropriately escalate any observed testing failures
  • Manage defined projects
  • Triage/research undefined projects


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of Epic Bridges experience strongly preferred
  • Certification in HL7 V2 preferred, Work experience on FHIR, Certification in HL7, FHIR is preferable.
  • Experience with existing FHIR servers such as HAPI, Vonk, Google Cloud Healthcare, Azure FHIR, etc.
  • Strong experience with any cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience/Awareness on the Interface engine such as Mirth Connect,  Iguana, Cloverleaf and  Rhapsody
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio  preferred.
  • Have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to take up new opportunities and undergo certification process
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy and constantly changing environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Support and ITIL Processes

  • Experience working with Maven , Jenkins, etc

  • Has agile scrum work experience for executing day-to-day activities and reporting to scrum team.
