Work you’ll do/ Responsibilities

Deloitte is looking for looking for someone with the following capabilities:

  • Specialized experience with large-scale resilient energy projects executed through various contract types typical to the Federal energy industry (e.g., Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC), Utility Energy Savings Contract (UESC), Energy Resiliency Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) and Enhanced Use Lease (EUL)), return on investment through energy management systems, and cyber security of industrial control systems desired.
  • Experience understanding renewable energy technical and financial analysis and supporting the federal government to execute such projects is desired
  • Manage and provide overall quality delivery review and technical input for workstreams and related Task Orders
  • Provide direct support to the government program manager, including assisting in resolving program execution issues, developing and coordinating communications and meetings, and other special projects
  • Lead integration across the project by overseeing and connecting multiple workstreams and provide feedback and input into program delivery, especially related to resilient energy projects delivered through federal energy contract mechanisms including third party financing, return on investment through energy management systems, and cyber security of industrial control systems. 
  • A strong understanding of the energy sector, current trends across renewable energy deployment, utility management and industrial control systems is important. Asset management and building management, financial advisory and other related fields are relevant.
  • Support the planning, budgeting and resource management of workstreams and task orders across the technical areas of the contract to include 1) electrical and cyber/industrial control system engineering support, 2) program management, project management and policy analyses support, 3) Finance, business and tariff analyses, 4) enterprise strategy and communications, and 5) energy security support
  • Provide quality review on invoices and support managers with budgeting and financial management.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the contract and Deloitte policies and work with the client to manage any challenges, complications, and/or risk issues
  • In coordination with project PPMD and other Senior Manager(s), lay out a program structure that facilitates strong team culture, information flow and work completion and provide and sustain an overall vision of success that fully engages the team and the clients for successful delivery of program results.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have 7+ years of experience
  • Master’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain and main desired clearance levels.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • 10-15 years working in the energy sector, preferably within the defense industry, and an understanding of current trends in renewable energy, electricity sector delivery, commodity markets and/or utility management.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or at a minimum a willingness to get the CEM certification within 6 months of joining the project
  • Demonstrated ability to establish productive relationships with senior government officials and play a strategic advisor role to advance complex issues in defense energy security and resiliency programs
  • Excellent written communication skills, and oral presentation communication skills required
  • Experience in consulting or other client service fields is desired, with experience managing contract financials, subcontractors and team member recruitment and transitions to meet the needs of the client and contract
  • Significant management experience, with skills to analyze and resolve a wide range of problems and support workstream leads to manage challenges and execute to high quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others, driving results across multiple work streams and managing several complex work steams simultaneously.
