Position Summary

US Firm Supplier Diversity – Senior Consultant, Analytics and Reporting

Deloitte Services LP includes internal support areas such as Sales Excellence, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources/Talent, Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Financial Support Services. 


What You’ll Do

The Senior Consultant, Analytics and Reporting will execute projects across the following areas:


  • Drive large scale, complex cross-functional initiatives in support of US Firm Supplier Diversity strategic priorities
  • Lead efforts to optimize our business objectives (e.g., Diversity Spend pipeline analysis, Development of Internal Supplier Diversity Marketplace, etc.)
  • Support efforts to develop and execute key pillars of the US Firm’s overall strategic plan (e.g. Communications Strategy, Supplier Management Strategy, Supplier Outreach Strategy, etc.)


  • Translate conceptual questions into data-driven analyses to allow leaders to make informed decisions
  • Support the US Firm Supplier Diversity Office leadership with ad-hoc specialized analyses and provide support for leadership and management meetings


  • Manage the implementation of changes once strategic recommendations are approved by driving cross-functional stakeholder engagement, communications / change management
  • Develop and operationalize reporting to measure impact of implemented changes


About the Team

The US Firm Supplier Diversity team, part of the Finance organization of the US Firm, executes advanced analytics projects to support the execution of strategies to grow and maintain expenditures (“spend”) with Diverse Suppliers across the US Firm.   Our Senior Consultant, Analytics and Reporting will be responsible for independently executing analyses, preparing clear, concise and compelling executive-level presentations and driving recommendations to further US Firm Supplier Diversity objectives.  This role will have significant exposure to Firm leadership and responsibility for helping Deloitte achieve its strategic Supplier Diversity priorities.

  • A client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. The scope and variety of work will change frequently
  • A solid understanding of finance and financial analysis and sound business acumen
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to filter through ambiguity to produce high-quality analyses
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to “tell the story” and develop executive level presentations from initial storyboarding to delivery
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • An ability to work effectively across functions and levels; comfort collaborating with teammates in a virtual environment
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.  Experience with Tableau is preferred.  Knowledge of or willingness to learn analytical tools such as R, Python, or SAS is a plus


Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred 
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in client-facing or internal consultative roles
  • Flexible work style.  Some moderate travel (up to 10%) may be required given the expected leadership interactions and the hands-on nature of the analyses.  A US-based office location is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
