Work you’ll do

  • Implement risk management programs for our federal clients by utilizing NIST, RMF, and FISMA compliance frameworks.
  • Enhance cyber awareness with clients and project teams.
  • Performing risk assessments for compliance against NIST, OMB, and other government standards and analyzing security controls
  • Working with a team of analysts to conduct research into digital identity technology, vendors, regulations, standards, and trends
  • Providing subject matter expertise and answering questions relating to NIST SP 800-63
  • Researching and developing educational materials on topics like relevant Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memos, mobile drivers’ licenses (mDLs), and identity proofing trends – generally in PowerPoint format; presenting findings to clients
  • Drafting policy documents to address challenges such as designing trust in federations
  • Driving the identity technology market to produce products that align with business needs  
  • Liaising with other large-scale agencies with similar challenges to capture leading practices and align initiatives

PM duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling meetings, setting agendas, facilitating sessions to achieve specific objectives
  • Capturing minutes, action items, and decisions; managing the team Kanban board
  • Providing updates internally within the team on latest activities and tasks
  • Continually evaluating progress against roadmap, goals, and metrics and working with team and other stakeholders to ensure initiatives are on track
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews for team deliverables; providing comments, feedback, and the potential opportunity for mentorship of junior employees (if desired)

  • Masters Degree required PLUS 8 years' experience; OR Bachelors Degree PLUS 10 years' experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Experience working with NIST 800-63
  • Experience working with cyber security tools
  • Experience with cyber awareness (e.g., phishing emails, cyber trainings)
  • Experience in research, analysis of alternatives, or using critical thinking to recommend solutions and solve challenges  Experience in project management  - strategic planning and goal setting; roadmap creation and maintenance; tracking progress against goals; tasking team members and monitoring progress; compiling status reports; scheduling and facilitating meetings; documenting and tracking minutes and actions
  • Experience in use of MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project) to create a variety of deliverables Strong oral communication skills including formal presentations, briefings, fielding live questions, and speaking clearly and concisely 
  • Strong written communication skills such as email, reports, white papers, presentations, and policy documents Critical analysis skills and the ability to synthesize information from disparate sources into recommendations or conclusions
  • Comfort accepting and providing feedback relating to project activity and delivery Dedication to quality in all deliverables (e.g., grammar, syntax, neatness, completeness, polished)


  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
  • Training or certification in the following: project management, business analysis, cybersecurity or digital identity topics 
  • Experience managing or mentoring one or more junior employees
  • Experience supporting federal agencies to solve technical challenges
  • Experience in cybersecurity – NIST series, risk management, cyber training, policy/compliance 
  • Experience either contributing to or reading/absorbing complex technical policy, regulatory, and standards type documents 
  • Willingness to volunteer for initiatives, help the team complete tasks, scope new work in alignment with strategic plan
