R.I.S.E. — Risks, issues, insights and experiences

 

Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory’s R.I.S.E. Case Competition gives participating students experience in providing risk advisory services to clients. In today’s ever-changing world, our clients face new situations daily that expose their companies to risk. We help them lead in their industries, navigate risks and opportunities, and disrupt, instead of being disrupted. In order to help our clients decide how best to manage and take risk, our teams collaborate and develop innovative solutions for the situations at hand.

 

Through this competition, students are given an opportunity to experience a real-world problem while using their skills and creativity to collaborate and provide a solution. Participants will have an opportunity to present to, and network with, leaders from Deloitte’s Risk & Financial Advisory practice.

 

Qualifications

  • Freshman through Juniors
  • Working toward an undergraduate degree in one of the following majors or a related area:

Business:  Accounting, Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics

Technology:  Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems

Math/Engineering:  Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Math, Statistics

  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Event eligibility limited to individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

 

If selected for an interview, students will be asked to complete two interviews with Risk & Financial Advisory client service professionals.

       

Important Dates

Application Due Date: February 3, 2021

National Competition held virtually: April 9, 2021 and April 16, 2021

 

Competition Format

Participation is limited to a maximum of 4 students per campus. Each participant will be grouped with students from various universities, who will work together as a team to develop and present a proposal to deliver risk-based advisory services to a fictitious client.  The competition will take place virtually and teams will be eligible for cash prizes of up to $2,000.
