Position Summary

This opportunity is to join the Modeling Advisory Practice (MAP), Deloitte’s dedicated team of financial modelers. The MAP team is dedicated to guiding Deloitte’s clients through their biggest decisions. When our clients are making critical business decisions, such as pursuing transactions, evaluating strategic alternatives, or quantifying the impact of business plans, they must distill these complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models. You’ll be involved in helping our clients understand, analyze, and respond to these business opportunities and challenges through robust financial modeling and analysis. As a member of the MAP team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries while building your professional skills in a variety of project experiences

Work you’ll do

As an Analyst in MAP, you will:

  • Help advise clients on strategic decisions through the use of financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation
  • Play a team role in developing financial models and tools that support clients throughout decision-making processes
  • Provide advice through client conversations and summarized PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist in driving business development activities for the Modeling Advisory Practice
  • Collaborate with other service lines and industry specialists within Deloitte
  • Participate in the delivery of training programs

  • Demonstrated leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience prioritizing tasks, working on multiple assignments and managing ambiguity
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels


The team

MAP is Deloitte’s team of dedicated financial modeling professionals, and we provide market-leading decision support services in the context of transactions, business planning, and restructurings or transformations across all industries and Deloitte clients.

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree required with preferred majors including: Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field of study
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • General understanding of 3-statement financial models and interest in the role models play to drive strategic decision making and business planning
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (While up to 70% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • The start date for this position is Summer/Fall 2021


  • Working toward CPA, CFA, or other equivalent designation
  • Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.2 or above)
  • Relevant work experience (e.g., industry internships, summer positions, school jobs)
