Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory Analyst – Business Forensic

Work you’ll do
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects leveraging your business-related degree to help our clients shape their response the threats before incidents happen and prepare for regulatory actions that might follow. We offer clients our deep experience and advanced analytics to help them intelligently respond. Teams provide proactive and reactive consulting, analytics, investigation services, and remediation assistance to clients that are working to manage the risks and vulnerabilities that arise from global corruption, corporate fraud, whistleblower allegations, and other threats. Deloitte Forensic helps clients 1) Predict 2) Detect and 3) Respond to global crises, controversies, and transactions, advising them on strategies to mitigate the disruption, risk and expense that naturally occurs when facing these complex matters.
Specific areas of work could include:
- Investigations & Disputes: This practice reviews accounting and business records to provide detailed analysis to help uncover essential facts and insights. Assist with compiling, analyzing, and documenting facts for matters under investigation or in litigation and help clients manage and respond to internal and external investigations, regulatory concerns, litigation, and other business controversy.
- Assist in preparing and executing detailed work plans for various engagements
- Review documents to identify items relevant to investigation or dispute matter
- Compile and analyze facts to formulate, substantiate and/or critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions
- Assist in preparing client presentations, reports and deliverables on diverse projects, including accounting and fraud investigations, false claims act investigations and complex business litigation matters
Regardless of project type, your work will require:
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/ responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills in support of both innovative and operational enhancement opportunities
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across Deloitte team members and client stakeholders
- Ability to identify, learn, understand, and implement new concepts, frameworks and emerging technologies
- Ability to manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experience
- A strong understanding of Windows Based systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in the following majors will be considered:
- Accounting, Finance or related technical business degree. A concentration in management information systems, business analytics or other business technology related areas is a plus
- Other majors will be considered with a concentration in accounting or a related area
- Strong academic track record with extracurricular activities (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on business and client needs
- Our current work environment is a hybrid approach, which means:
- You should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
- You can expect to be co-located 30-50% with variations based on business and client needs
Preferred:
- Meet minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above
- Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
- Demonstrated recent leadership, such as in a campus club, society, sports teams or other activity
- Demonstrated recent social impact or volunteer activity
