Work you’ll do

As a Business Technology Solutions Summer Scholar, you will have opportunities to make an impact on a broad range of transformative projects for our clients. You will support the delivery of various types of client deliverables that range from information management solutions and implementations of large-scale technology platforms to supporting the development of advisory materials for technical architecture and IT operating models.  You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and begin building your individual brand. This person should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings.

Business Technology Solutions Summer Scholar leverages technology skills and business domain knowledge to advise clients on industry, operational, and technical best practices to achieve business transformation. The candidate bridges the theoretical with the practical to cut through complexity and optimize business processes. We are looking for someone who can move fluidly across business groups and technologies and use analytical skills to help clients take advantage of growth opportunities.

 

The Team

Our Deloitte Consulting team plays a major role in directly embedding technology insights into our clients’ organizational goals. Required Qualifications

  • Junior standing in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date between December 2021 and June 2022
  • Bachelor’s degree in progress in the following or related majors:
    • Business
    • STEM
    • Information Systems
    • Economics
    • Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics
    • Liberal Arts
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.4)
  • Availability to participate in the Summer Scholar Program full-time for 10-weeks from June to August 2021
  • Travel up to 80-100% (While 80-100% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

How You’ll Grow 

Throughout the course of the internship program, you’ll receive formal and informal mentorship and training. Our Summer Scholar training program provides a view both into the technical skills as well as critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets required to make the most of your internship. The program includes a variety of team-based, hands-on exercises and activities.
