Position Summary

Data Management – Consultant

Deloitte Discovery provides a comprehensive suite of legal management consulting, information governance, contract lifecycle management, and technology-enabled services to our clients. Our professionals bring domain knowledge, industry experience, and technology capabilities to provide strategic, proactive approaches supporting the future of applied information governance and management in support of client legal, compliance and information technology departments.

Deloitte Discovery’s U.S. operations is comprised of the following services:

  • Data Remediation/Data Migration
  • Legal Business Services
  • eDiscovery Services

Work you will do

You will work directly with the Deloitte Discovery Data Remediation/Data Migration team, cross-functional client stakeholders, and outside counsel to solve complex data issues. You will liaise with other Deloitte Discovery services and Deloitte service areas, and at times work on projects driven by these services (agility is a plus). Here are just some to the things you will be doing:

  • Execute day-to-day activities on client engagements
  • Help prepare and present oral and written reports and presentations
  • Help define resource requirements
  • Work in a hands-on capacity with Relativity and other Discovery technologies
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Participate in initiatives to improve the capabilities of the practice

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1-2 years of Consulting experience (Forensics, e-Discovery, Information Governance, Content Archiving)
  • Working understanding of databases and file systems
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management
  • Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to provide business consulting services and participate in client presentations
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • MBA or Business degree with concentration in Information systems
  • Experience manipulating large data sets and with data visualization programs (i.e., Tableau)
  • Experience with natural language processing and machine learning
  • Understanding of information governance and document retention
  • Experience in professional services firm preferred
  • Understanding of e-discovery processes and tools and systems
  • Experience with regulatory archiving, WORM, and SEC 17a3&4 regulations
  • Understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud-based services

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, Jersey City and California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City, Jersey City and California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,615 - $121,025 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
