Cyber Detect & Respond Sr. Consultant

Deloitte Advisory Cyber Risk practice designs, builds, and delivers cyber Detect & Respond exercises that immerse participants in a simulated, interactive, and evolving cyber-attack scenario – providing organizations an opportunity to test their cyber incident response reflexes, identify capability gaps, and train on and develop advanced preparedness techniques.  Deloitte Advisory focuses on Board, executive, and senior-management level exercises; but also conducts technical exercises for technologists and front-line cyber incident responders.

Work you’ll do

  • Translate client discussions into an understanding of exercise objectives, parameters, and constraints
  • Conduct interviews and research to understand the client’s cyber ecosystem – including their cyber threat landscape, cyber incident response plans and capabilities, cyber-relevant business processes / controls, etc.
  • Develop cyber exercise designs – including a business-level scenario storyline, technical-level attack chain, an exercise inject timeline, delivery structure, and logistics plan
  • Develop pre-exercise, exercise, and post-exercise materials – including training presentations, multimedia scenario injects, and an after action report
  • Support the delivery of pre-exercise, exercise, and post-exercise client sessions – including inject reviews, the cyber exercises themselves, and after action report reviews

Qualifications

Required:

  • Have a foundational non-technical understanding of common business processes / controls, functional operating models, and business value chains
  • Have a foundational technical understanding of information technology security, cyber incident handling, cyber exploit analysis, cyber intelligence gathering, and cyber forensics methods and procedures
  • Have a strong attention to detail and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
  • BA/BS in information technology or related field or significant industry work experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
