Position Summary

Cross Consulting Marketing & Communications, Lead Specialist, Emerging Offerings – Deloitte Consulting

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate strategic marketing and communications Lead Specialist to join our Cross Consulting marketing team to lead campaign development and execution that supports some of Deloitte Consulting’s most strategic growth initiatives.

What you’ll do:

Campaign Strategy and Planning

  • Support the Cross Consulting Portfolio Strategist to develop, maintain, and execute against priorities of our Emerging Offerings Portfolio, specifically focused on New Experimental and Emerging Technologies
  • Bring innovative thinking and marketing practices to all Consulting marketing activities
  • Support the development of strategic messaging and positioning to differentiate Deloitte and advance awareness of capabilities, offerings, solutions and successes across the broader organization and in the marketplace
  • Execute against strategies for integrated marketing campaigns that differentiate Deloitte. This includes collaborating with internal resources to produce marketing content, and producing material suites over various channels (digital, print, social, video, etc.) to aid with local activation in targeted geographies
  • Manage and maintain programs that deliver on annual and quarterly marketing plans to meet business goals and work closely with cross-functional teams to execute agile plans and support tracking of alliance marketing investments
  • Develop strategic briefs (business case) for potential marketing campaigns; drive approval process for campaigns with key leadership
  • Engage other Campaign Architects to coordinate campaign activities and pull in other capabilities, as appropriate
  • Engage Green Dot Agency (internal agency) in execution of campaigns; oversee, in conjunction with Agency, delivery of campaigns
  • Serve as a liaison between key stakeholders, Brand and Green Marketing and Communications, and the major portfolios and business entities of Consulting
  • Manage overall marketing calendar, including major campaigns, product/offering launches, major events, and core marketing maintenance activities
  • Help drive and promote premier thought leadership to build our Brand’s eminence and reputation
  • Bring strategic insight to help support rapid response to emerging and breaking market trends to deploy agile campaigns to reach target audiences and influencers.

Budgeting and Measurement

  • Support Portfolio Strategist in planning and managing marketing budgets for campaigns
  • Develop and measure metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success
  • Report periodic results and optimize campaigns against data-driven insights

Business Advisor

  • Serve as marketing advisor to key stakeholders within areas of responsibility – assist with articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities and serve as connection point across Deloitte and the firm
  • Work with and advise business strategy and sales excellence teams to define audience goals, targeting strategies and deploy engaging tactics

We develop cutting-edge marketing and communications plans, creative assets, and unique experiences that engage our internal and external audiences; deliver on the strategy of our businesses; and capture the hearts, minds, and loyalty of our clients.


Qualifications include:

  • Communications professional with a minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, and / or Business, is required
  • Proven success in developing and executing internal communications strategies / plans for a large business, preferably in professional services
  • Technology B2B marketing background, with familiarity leading market research, trend analysis, hype cycles and building brand permission in emerging tech
  • Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects / priorities
  • Strong executive presence and comfort working with and advising senior management
  • Analytical mindset, with ability to interpret data into meaningful insights and strategies
  • Detail-oriented with fantastic follow-through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—including effective storytelling and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a cross-functional, virtual team; experience in large corporate settings and / or professional services a plus
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity
  • Proficient in MS Office suite—including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Drive; knowledge of the latest internal communications measurement platforms a plus
