We offer a complete range of Operate services providing flexible, recurring resource capacity for client initiatives, projects, tasks, and enhancements which includes Quality Engineering, Program Management and Business Analysis, Application Development, Product Engineering, Shared Services and Infrastructure.  We provide services that provide ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for IT/Engineering applications and products which includes traditional, hybrid and managed operate services.

Work you’ll do

As a Senior Manager as part of our Application Development and Support Team, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting various internal applications and the complex programs surrounding these applications including internal consultants, near-shore and off-shore technologists and multiple vendor relationships, as a member of our Core Technology Practice.  You’ll work across geographies, with accountability for the success, effectiveness and delivery of multiple work streams managing a large technology team.   You’ll lead planning and budgeting; mobilizing and managing engagement teams; defining deliverable structure and content; facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels; direct on-time, quality delivery of work; manage technology economics; and risk.  In addition, you’ll do the following:

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. This role offers high visibility with some of the technology leaders of the firm at the highest levels with daily interaction.
  • You’ll gain the insight on how to grow business inside Deloitte Consulting without having an initial embedded quota, a rare opportunity at the Senior Manager level, a great launching pad for future senior roles in Development Technologies;
  • You’ll develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key internal clients; organize and participate and lead aspects of the development process; contribute to the development key internal technology strategies;
  • You’ll review solutions the team puts in place for client problems with tech stack spanning from Java and .NET on Azure/AWS/GCP or on prem.
  • You’ll perform the role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

Core Technology Operations

At Deloitte Consulting LLP, our Core Technology Operations specialists help clients manage the complexity inherent with technology change, from requirements planning to architecture, testing to deployment, and beyond, helping to link their IT programs to organizational goals. And we offer a complete range of industry-leading services, including systems development, solution and platform integration.

Senior Managers are required to have:

  • 10+ years of relevant consulting experience managing and delivering technology related development systems across borders;
  • 10+ years planning and managing project initiatives as a key member of a large internal technology organization working closely with practitioners, vendors and internal leaders; or similar team environment;
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams to design, develop, enhance and support complex technical solutions in Java and Microsoft technologies both on Cloud(Azure/AWS/GCP) and .NET
  • 10+ years’ experience leading large-scale global technology teams responsible for requirements definition, requirements management, and requirements validation;
  • Strong Agile experience working in a mature Agile environment;
  • Limited Immigration Sponsorship maybe available;
  • Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.);

In addition, successful Senior Managers will have the following preferred background:

  • Experience leading testing of applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform;
  • Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies;
  • Ability to work independently and plan and manage multiple assignments across multiple projects or work streams;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in a technology or engineering-related discipline;
  • PMP certification is a plus;
