Deloitte’s Product Transformation and BankingSuite

Deloitte recently launched the Converge™ hybrid market offering as part of a $750M investment in product development over the next 5 years, which will blend the agility of a startup and the reach of a leading professional services firm. Converge is launching a Banking Suite product line to compete in the exciting FinTech ecosystem, which will focus on delivering a world-class customer experience for consumer and small businesses of smaller banks and non-banks. The Banking Suite platform is a cloud-native stack at every layer and aims to help Banking Suite clients compete with large bank incumbents and FinTechs with the flexibility to deliver innovative marketing, product, and pricing strategies, while enjoying dramatically lower digital bank operating costs. The Banking Suite team is looking to build a FinTech startup team with a passion for innovation and the experience to launch a high-quality digital banking product.

Work You'll Do

  • Act as a servant leader for your team(s) by facilitating the Agile process with clear communication to management. 
  • Proactively solve problems to help the team(s) succeed across scope, time, and cost dimensions, while being open, approachable, collaborative, and passionate. 
  • Drive the Agile framework for ensuring high quality product delivery and continuous improvement. 
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and enable the team to rapidly respond to changes. 
  • Partner with stakeholders throughout the firm to understand their needs and design and develop robust solutions that meet and/or exceed customer expectations. 
  • Periodically report on team progress using product-oriented feature deliverables for maximizing product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product owner to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Facilitate groups of 10 or more and coach multiple teams across the products
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach organization to conduct continuous improvement events
  • Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
  • Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instill the same in the team(s) you coach
  • Coach product owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
  • Teach systems thinking and servant leadership
  • Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, conflict management, mediation and so on to help the team become a high-performance team
  • Provide periodic team performance reporting across scope, time, and cost towards product outcomes


Qualifications 


Required:

  • 2+ years expertise with Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in Product Development and delivery organization
  • Sound understanding of Agile scaling frameworks, and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP, and proficient in leveraging the right technique at the right time
  • Demonstrated success in coaching multiple teams across products
  • Proficient with project management and agile software applications, and MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with roadmap planning (Aha!, MS project, etc.) and task management tools (e. JIRA)
  • Scrum Master certified
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
  • Ability to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve the team(s)
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies
  • Ability to leverage capabilities across the firm to solve local problems
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive business decisions with information and make appropriate trade-off decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  
  
  
   

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,000-$134,000.

  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
