Deloitte recently launched the Converge™ hybrid market offering as part of a $750M investment in product development over the next 5 years, which will blend the agility of a startup and the reach of a leading professional services firm. Converge is launching a Banking Suite product line to compete in the exciting FinTech ecosystem, which will focus on delivering a world-class customer experience for consumer and small businesses of smaller banks and non-banks. The Banking Suite platform is a cloud-native stack at every layer and aims to help Banking Suite clients compete with large bank incumbents and FinTechs with the flexibility to deliver innovative marketing, product, and pricing strategies, while enjoying dramatically lower digital bank operating costs. The Banking Suite team is looking to build a FinTech startup team with a passion for innovation and the experience to launch a high-quality digital banking product.

Work You’ll Do

  • Lead and drive end-to-end product QA across functional, automation, and performance testing streams for BankingSuite product
  • Hands-on test automation framework and scripts development across mobile (android and iOS), desktop web, and mobile web applications using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Rest API, Appium tools 
  • Drive discussions with product and leadership teams to determine test strategy, test plan, test design & execution approach, and help the QA team understand testing requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Develop test deliverables, including detailed and executive summary reports, oriented on BankingSuite business capability model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on test automation scripts design and development for API, UI, Banking Core, and end-to-end integration testing.
  • Design automation testing plan and master test schedule for Sprint, Release, and Hot-Fix testing.
  • Identify gaps in product capabilities and test coverage and prioritize test automation development based on automation ROIs.
  • Design and review product functional test cases based on use cases / user stories in Jira ensuring optimal test coverage across positive, negative, and complex test scenarios.
  • Review test automation framework and scripts for code quality, standards, and test coverage and work with QA team to ensure common set of standards and best practices across all test scripts.
  • Apply expertise / advanced knowledge of QA automation principles, methodologies, and techniques to optimize current test automation framework to support automation testing across all supported channels.
  • Cater to some of the non-traditional challenges in testing a Digital Banking product such as a customer’s banking relationship including key journeys that range from onboarding and transacting to maintenance and dispute resolution.
  • Pro-actively look for ways and patterns to continuously automate feature and end-to-end testing with measurable and tangible goals.
  • Lead sophisticated defect detection, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting for the product.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Development team, and other stakeholders for defect triaging and resolution.
  • Work closely with Product owners and other stakeholders for reviewing test methodology, test coverage, and conducting acceptance testing for the product on pre-production and production environments.
  • Validate, verify and sign-off on feature / release / hot-fix testing.
  • Coach and mentor QA team members on QA automation best practices, latest testing tools, standards, and methods, and define SLAs / KPIs for test automation deliverables.
  • Detailed understanding of the defined NFRs (SLAs, expected response times, user loads etc.) and support Performance Testing in identifying key performance issues / bottlenecks with the application.



  • 5+ years hands-on fintech QA automation development with experience in multiple enterprise technologies and specific focus in retail banking and multi-tenancy architectures. Must have exposure to applications that can scale to M customers and B transactions across 100’s of clients as part of a platform across multiple tenants and have familiarity with various SaaS distribution models.
  • Hands-on API and UI test automation framework development skills for some of the following financial technologies: core banking and/or payment systems, record keeping systems, and personal financial management.
  • Proficient in Core Java and OOPs Concepts and has experience working with Java Integrated Development Environments such as IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
  • Strong expertise in Selenium web driver automation framework, API Automation testing with RestAssured / Karate / Postman, and UI automation testing with Selenium & Appium.
  • Experience in setting up and running QA automation tests from CI tools such as Jenkins / Concourse.
  • Experience in using version control systems such as SVN / GIT and build tools such as Maven / Gradle.
  • Must be adept at software testing methodologies and approaches, with a special focus on automation testing in Agile environment.
  • Understanding of Performance Testing with LoadRunner / JMeter tools.


  • Passionate about continuous test automation and provide feedback to stakeholders as rapidly as possible on business risks associated with a release candidate
  • Passionate about driving synergies between different testing types (functional, automation, performance) in terms of test harness, test reporting, and strive to get a single, holistic view of testing summary across all these testing types.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, adept at explaining complex technical concepts and sharing your knowledge with technical audience.
  • Interested in all digital consumer interaction models, from web to mobile to push notifications to emerging HCI channels such as Alexa.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000-$116,000.

  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
