Position Summary

DevOps Lead for Converge, Deloitte Consulting

We are looking for talented individuals with innovative mindset, core consulting skillset, and ability to coordinate across stakeholders to join our growing team and work as part of the Converge team.

Converge is looking for a Sr. DevOps engineer to lead the growth of our multi-cloud devOps team. As a DevOps lead, you will be working closely with product teams, expert service teams and our customers to build and automate the product DevOps process. You will own the automation of product CI/CD process, product configuration, deployment and upgrade for both SaaS and on-prem cloud-based solutions. You will drive the design, implementation and scaling our DevOps toolkits and process to support products running on multiple hyperscallers.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Concourse, Bamboo, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.
  • 3+ Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production deployment and configuration for cloud based products on AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • 3+ Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud based microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Hands-on experience of programming in languages such as, Python, JAVA, C++ or similar object-oriented language.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices

Preferred:

  • A desire to take initiative and continuously work on improving the products you are responsible for
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud native security concepts, DevSecOps or MLOps.

 
    
  
    
   
 

·       The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,000-$180,000.

o   You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
