Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Senior in Atlanta, Georgia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; provide application analysis to meet software architecture and infrastructure goals. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, and coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document, support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing Oracle Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Big Data Cloud, Oracle Hyperion Cloud, Oracle Database Cloud Service, and Oracle GoldenGate to provide software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Retail, Finance, and Insurance industries;
  • Researching user reported issues with software systems, identifying root causes and resolutions, and implementing fixes, utilizing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) , Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) , Informatica, Oracle Hyperion Essbase, and Oracle Database;
  • Tracking implementation defects, coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Azure Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), ETLworks, Talend, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), and Oracle Big Data Cloud;
  • Developing functional specifications for custom development and interface with external systems utilizing StarUML, OpenText ProVision, Visual Paradigm, Context Diagram, Functional Decomposition, and User Stories;
  • Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources, and monitoring project progress utilizing Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Baseline, MS Project, Azure DevOps Boards, and Trello;
  • Monitoring application server performance of Oracle BI, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne utilizing Oracle BI, Informatica, Oracle DIPC, OAC and Oracle Big Data Cloud;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate functional and technical requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that meet client needs, utilizing ODI, Oracle BI, Java, Unix Shell, and Python Scripts; and,
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders, utilizing Gantt Charts, WBS, Project Baseline, MS Project, and Trello.
