Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Senior in Morristown, New Jersey and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive the development of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development life cycle. Participate in the delivery of comprehensive network transformation projects; help achieve the most out of existing infrastructure. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, by driving the design and development. Drive various aspects of the full software development life cycle, which includes requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Azure DevOps Server, Jira, HP Quality Center (QC), and GitHub;
  • Converting legacy data according to current system’s data structure, using data warehouse concepts, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), data cleaning, data integration, and data consolidations, utilizing Google Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL services, and MS SQL Server;
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, data models, and process models, utilizing MS Visio, and erwin Data Modeler;
  • Designing and deploying end-to-end cloud infrastructure, using Jenkins, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Deployment Manager, Git, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Cloud Source Repositories;
  • Defining systems strategy and support procedures, developing systems requirements, and designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing Cloud technology solutions, using GCP, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions;
  • Performing application and data migration by architecting frameworks for standardization and automation, using GCP services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Stackdriver, and custom developed linux shell scripts;
  • Deploying custom developed application, including prototyping, code development and review, unit testing, performance testing, configuration, production deployment and training utilizing Java J2EE technologies, Spring Model-view-controller (MVC), Spring Boot, Spring Aspect-oriented Programming (AOP), Spring Quartz, Spring Java Message Service (JMS), Spring Retry, JUnit, and REST microservice based applications; and
  • Utilizing GCP services, container technologies, messaging systems, and web design and development technologies, including Docker, IBM Message Queue (MQ), Apache MQ, JavaServer Pages (JSP), HTML5, JQuery, and Bootstrap.
