Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Senior in Richmond, VA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document, support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Candidate must also have 2 years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Designing and developing applications using Pega Business Process Management (BPM) tool to meet functional needs of software applications for the Healthcare, Banking, or Insurance industries;
  • Developing and launching automation solutions using Pega RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Chatbot, File Listener, and Job Scheduler;
  • Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions, using Waterfall, Smart BPM, and Agile methodologies across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures;
  • Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration & defect management, and production deployment, utilizing Pega Platform, Jira, Oracle, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) in Waterfall, Smart BPM, and Agile methodologies;
  • Performing software development in Waterfall, Smart BPM, and Agile environments, and web service testing using OnPrem Pega Platform, Pega Cloud, SOAPUI, and Postman;
  • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development, using Pega Guardrails;
  • Performing such aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects & change requests, and escalations & urgent issues, utilizing Pega Application Profiler, Pega Express, Pega DevOps, and Service Now in Waterfall, Smart BPM, and Agile methodologies; and
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Pega Application Profiler, Pega UI & UX Engine, Pega Process Modeler, and Pega Rule Engine.
