Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Master in McLean, Virginia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology projects, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development life cycle for the development of Cloud-based technologies. Manage end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud by leading the design and development for information technology projects within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Manage various aspects of the full software development life cycle related to information projects, which includes requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff. Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers/testers; and work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have three years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and five years of progressive related work experience. Position requires three years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing Microsoft (MS) Azure Resource Manager Templates (ARM templates), Cloud Migration, Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudFormation, and Microservices Architecture to manage design and development for Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services;
  • Managing technical teams in order to architect, build and deploy multi-cloud solutions using MS Azure DevOps Server, Git Source Control, and Azure pipelines to support enterprise clients;
  • Defining, tracking, and measuring overall department performance and metrics, creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress utilizing MS Power BI and Project Plan, Azure Boards, and Atlassian Jira;
  • Defining systems strategy and support procedures, developing systems requirements, and designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing Cloud technology solutions using Agile methodology, and DevSecOps;
  • Developing data migration plans from legacy platforms to private and public cloud platforms, including MS Azure Data Migration tool, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Structured Query Language (SQL);
  • Managing teams in designing solutions within cloud infrastructures using MS Azure and AWS; and
  • Managing the development, communication, and implementation of organizations’ DevOps capabilities, including continuous integration, continuous test automation, continuous delivery pipelines, and application monitoring, using GitHub, Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS), Octopus Deploy, and PowerShell.
