Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Master in Austin, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology projects including development and implementation, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Manage technical teams to architect, build and deploy solutions. Manage and deliver components of information technology project engagements, within the full software development life cycle. Participate and lead aspects of the information technology project proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers/testers; and work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications in connection with information technology projects.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements 

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Must also have 3 years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Utilizing Salesforce Apex, MuleSoft, DataStax, Informatica, Jitterbit, Python, PySpark, Java, Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), PL/SQL, UML, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2, SOAP, REST webservices, and Agile and Waterfall methodologies to lead IT projects in the public sector;
  • Participating in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures utilizing JIRA, Rational ClearQuest, JUnit, and jMock;
  • Developing, maintaining, and coordinating project schedule and deliverables for clients using JIRA and Microsoft Teams;
  • Defining performance measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on stakeholders’ discussions, data, and trend analysis using LoadRunner, and Apache JMeter;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs using Application Architecture Diagrams, technical flow diagrams, process flows, logical design documents, and database schema, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio and PowerPoint;
  • Coordinating business processes and driving customer requirements, scenario development, and technical implementation utilizing Salesforce, MuleSoft, Python, PySpark, JQuery, Informatica, Jitterbit, Java, Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), DataStax, Postgres SQL, Oracle, Spring MVC, SOAP and RESTful webservice, Apache Cassandra, Struts, Hibernate, Blaze Rules Engine, Dreamweaver, and JUnit;
  • Leading development, testing and deployment, utilizing Salesforce Change Sets, Git, Maven, Apache Ant Scripts, and Jenkins; and
  • Creating plans to mitigate risks and issues over the course of the project, and managing the scope using change management processes including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
