Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have one (1) year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires one (1) year of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing Splunk, DataPower CLI and Shell Scripting;
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code utilizing Visio;
  • Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using SoapUI, Postman and Apache Jmeter;
  • Creating web applications using Web Service Proxy, Multi-Protocol Gateway, eXtensible Markup Language (XML), DataPower Web Application Firewall (WAF), XSL, and eSQL to provide service and data to users;
  • Creating technical design and unit test case documents to track test cases and issues utilizing Visio, Jira, and Team Foundation Server (TFS);
  • Designing and developing applications using XMLSpy, Eclipse, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Active Directory (AD), Syslog, SoapUI, and Jenkins to meet functional needs for software applications;
  • Architecting, implementing and supporting IBM Private Cloud infrastructure and topologies; and
  • Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development utilizing eSQL, XSLT, WSDL, XML Schema Definition (XSD), Db2, SQL and IBM API Connect.
