Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Manager in New York, New York and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Lead advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging on-premise, web, and/or cloud-based platforms to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments. Lead teams that perform data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling while utilizing technologies. Lead the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, including defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Lead teams that work to provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms. Drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought-ware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events. Develop and execute networking strategies, sales tracking mechanisms, and pitch presentations, and analyze documents aimed at increasing client engagements using data visualization and project management tools.

  • 50% travel required nationally.

Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field and four (4) years of related experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and six (6) years of progressive related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have four (4) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Leading large scale projects end to end and managing project resources and teams;
  • Tracking and resolving key issues and risks to budget, scope and resources, utilizing Project Management Office (PMO) approaches (scheduling using Gantt Charts and Kanban, project setup, status, and RAID management) and tools including MS Project, Jira and JAMA;
  • Leading functional and technical teams in the identification and delivery of business requirements using MS Office Suite and SharePoint, creating functional designs and use cases using Unified Modeling Language (UML), managing application development and testing, and defining support and standard operating procedures (SOP);
  • Leading teams and stakeholders through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing Agile/SCRUM, and Waterfall Methodologies, to implement data modelling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical), data mapping (Entity Relationship, Dimensional/Star Schema), data migration, data visualization, technical platforms, analytics outputs, and software applications;
  • Leading and coordinating operating model and operational process redesign to optimize efficiency, and enable implementation and adoption of large organizational change and IT implementations and conducting business process analysis and process re-engineering using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN);
  • Assessing business case and financial forecasts related to project and operational budget allocations, and advising stakeholders on potential recommendations and impacts; and
  • Performing role of counselor and coach, actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities, and providing leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
