Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Engineer in Tampa, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; perform design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Operating Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Drive various aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations of urgent issues. Design and develop data governance standards, roles, and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion, mapping, and cleansing workshops to support the clients’ conversion to Cloud. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

  • 15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Candidate must also have 2 years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Driving implementations of Cloud-based technologies including data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing Agile methodologies;
  • Designing conversion strategies and mapping rules between legacy data and the current system database to facilitate data conversion;
  • Defining project approaches and driving cloud transformation implementation activities across the solution delivery lifecycle including governance, platform, security and operations requirement gathering, user story definition, process design, and assessment of business and launch readiness;
  • Performing implementation and integration of Cloud-based solutions by leveraging cloud-native applications including Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3, Elastic Computing (EC2), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Application Load Balancer (ALB), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Formation, Lambda, and CloudWatch;
  • Developing detailed implementation plans for deploying SAP applications on AWS high availability functionalities and integrations, establishing key project milestones, and developing high-level architecture;
  • Driving aspects of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) with AWS Code Pipeline, projects, and workstreams including monitoring and identifying project issues in order to mitigate risks; and
  • Developing and reviewing required project documentation including Technical Architecture (TA) design, presentations, gap analysis reports, process flow diagrams, roles and responsibilities documentation, and process documents.
