Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in McLean, Virginia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive the development of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle. Participate in the delivery of comprehensive network transformation projects; help achieve the most out of existing infrastructure. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premises to Cloud, by driving the design and development. Drive various aspects of the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document, support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
  • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues, utilizing Jira, and Agile methodology;
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including Lucid chart screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Visual Studio (VS) Code and Atom;
  • Recommending, designing, and implementing on-premise data Cloud Computing, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Managed Cloud, Server Virtualization, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solutions;
  • Designing and deploying end-to-end cloud infrastructure using AWS (Amazon Web Services);
  • Defining systems strategy and support procedures, developing systems requirements, and designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing cloud technology solutions, using AWS;
  • Performing root cause analysis and documenting results, using GitHub and Confluence; Performing application and data migration by architecting frameworks for standardization and automation, using Jenkins and DevOps methodology; and
  • Deploying custom developed applications, including AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registry (ECR), and Code Pipeline to process design, prototyping, code development and review, unit testing, performance testing, configuration, defect management, and production deployment and training, utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
