Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in Houston, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; may perform design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Operating Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Drive various aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which may include requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations of urgent issues. Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion, mapping and cleansing workshops to support the clients’ conversion to Cloud. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Candidate must also have 2 years of related work experience involving each of the following: Supporting implementations of Cloud-based technologies and all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing SQL scripts for data conversions, Excel and Pythonbased scripts for data cleansing activities, Adobe XD for user interface designs, and SoapUI for application programming interface (API) design and testing; Converting and reconciling legacy data according to current and target-state system data structures, using SQL-based scripts and working with Microsoft (MS) SQL Server and S/4 Hanabased systems; Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development, utilizing MS Visio for process mapping, Adobe XD for screen layouts, and MS Word for documenting logic and pseudo-code; Defining project approaches and driving enterprise-level conversions, cloud-based application development, and automation implementation activities across the SDLC, including requirements gathering, user story definition, process design, assessment of business and launch readiness, and deployment; Driving aspects of technology transformation projects and workstreams, including monitoring and identifying project issues in order to mitigate risks; Reviewing required project documentation, including presentations, gap analysis reports, process flow diagrams, roles and responsibilities documentation, and process documents; Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs, utilizing MS Visio for process mapping and MS Word for creating detailed design documents; and Utilizing Azure DevOps Server, Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), JAWS and Compliance Sheriff, and MS Excel to support and perform Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Compliance testing, and Performance testing to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions.
