Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Little Rock, Arkansas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.
• 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:
• Designing and developing applications, using Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL), Job Control Language (JCL), Information Management System (IMS), Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), Customer Information Control System (CICS), and Structured Query Language Processing Using File Input (SPUFI) to meet functional needs for software applications;
• Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions, using Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures;
• Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration, defect management, and production deployment, utilizing File Master, Expeditor, Endevor, Life Cycle Management (LCM), Mainframe, and UNIX infrastructure and topologies;
• Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development, using Migration Checklists for Job Control Language (JCL), Copybooks, COBOL, and Customer Information Control System (CICS) modules;
• Performing aspects of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects, change requests, escalations, and urgent issues, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Team Foundation Server (TFS);
• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle, utilizing C Language, Stored Procedures, Database 2 (DB2), and Structured Query Language (SQL);
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio, MS Word, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and Advanced MS PowerPoint.
