Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Nashville, Tennessee and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document, support creation of interface specifications, and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Performing data cleansing, data conversions, interface design, interface development, and systems development, utilizing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Splunk, Bitbucket, and Bamboo;
  • Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams, utilizing Splunk, IBM WebSphere, ServiceNow and Dynatrace;
  • Automating development and deployment tasks, using Bitbucket, Bamboo, and DevOps methodology;
  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall project delivery life cycle for the design, development, and implementation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Splunk Cloud Platform;
  • Administering Splunk applications to monitor and measure the performance and availability of application servers;
  • Assisting teams with deployments as a release manager, from the development phase to testing; and
  • Driving the administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software applications hosted on IBM WebSphere, Experian, and Symantec.
