Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Austin, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires two (2) years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Gathering Business Requirements and providing software solutions;
  • Designing and developing applications using Java, J2EE, XML, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, EJB, Apache Maven, AJAX, RAD, JUnit, JDBC and Oracle to meet functional needs for software applications;
  • Creating web applications using HTML, CSS, Ajax, and JavaScript to provide service and data to users;
  • Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using Postman and SoapUI;
  • Contributing to the development and execution of test cases cases to validate the implementation of new changes by using Junit, and leading execution of integration and end-to-end testing for dependent modules by third parties using Adobe Life Cycle Management, JAMA and JIRA;
  • Delivering quality code ahead of time by implementing software development best practices and by using Agile methodologies;
  • Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design, development, and systems development utilizing RAD, Eclipse, PL/SQL Developer, and REST; and
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Microsoft Visio and MS Office.
