Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Nashville, TN and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Gathering and analyzing the requirements, designing, implementing, testing and integrating the application per the guidelines and schedules stated in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) plan created for each project;
  • Developing web pages in the front-end utilizing HTML, JavaScript, JSP and CSS per the design and performing JQuery validations on the client side;
  • Developing backend programming utilizing Java, J2EE, JDBC and EJB, and completing the integration with front end user interfaces;
  • Writing, updating, and maintaining software programs, and packages to handle specific jobs including utilizing, storing, retrieving data, and integration with other applications;
  • Developing software applications utilizing Eclipse and SQL Developer, and deploying applications on IBM WebSphere application server;
  • Participating and maintaining code quality and code security utilizing SONAR;
  • Analyzing and assigning incidents on priority to respective teams;
  • Educating and motivating technical team members in the project to keep code quality and security as per the deliverable contract;
  • Participating in development, test scripts and deployment by utilizing WINSCP, Bitbucket, CA workload scheduler, JIRA, JAMA, and Bamboo; and
  • Creating plans to mitigate risks and issues over the course of the project, and managing the scope utilizing change management processes including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
