Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in San Jose, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology project and the creation of innovative and transformative technology solutions for clients that address their next generational needs. Create effective visions, strategies and roadmaps, in direct alignment and support of business and technology objectives for clients. Manage the future-state business process and key design decisions for Information Technology and Operational environments. Manage technical enablement assessments to determine key process and organizational gaps in business environments. Manage vendor assessment for content management for companies by creating vendor selection framework, conducting demos, road-mapping, and pricing assessments. Manage engagement planning and budgeting by defining deliverable structure, content and delivery while managing risks and quality of delivery. Develop proposals and contribute to the development of pricing strategies for existing project extensions and new opportunities. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Own project delivery in a program management capacity including setting and clarifying stakeholder expectations, hypothesis development, planning, execution monitoring, quality control, analysis and application of technology processes and methods, problem solving, financial modelling, storyboarding, and report writing. Monitor project finances by actively managing the work of the team against project scope to maximize effectiveness and value. Leverage data, including selection of appropriate collection and analysis methods and development of informed insights, to recommend impactful approach and solutions through analysis and visualization. Propose standardization and simplification of planning and execution processes, including an effective set of performance measures and KPIs, to enable cost effective operations with the best use of technology. Drive risk management by anticipating, identifying and articulating the most critical business problems in a proactive and detailed manner, recommend solutions after evaluating all the pros and cons and develop strategic contingency plans. Build project governance framework and escalation matrix while anticipating challenges to maintain a process-oriented approach to delivery. Utilize domain knowledge along with market and competitor trends to promote adoption of leading practices and support market differentiation.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Participating in aspects that aim to provide organization leaders with the capabilities and tools to build flexible, innovative business models, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel;
  • Leading the business planning process including business cases, financial documentation, and project plans per business specifications and agreed timelines;
  • Utilizing people and project management tools including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services to oversee scalable designs to provide technical solutions;
  • Working across all phases of the business process and technology development lifecycles for product and strategy insight solutions for enterprise-level clients, including leading design sessions;
  • Using project management frameworks, including SDLC and Agile to help clients optimize and maintain applications to maximize Return on Investment (ROI);
  • Transforming and visualizing data, evaluating business processes, and drawing insights from analysis for purposes of developing solutions for client challenges utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; and
  • Utilizing business problem structuring methodologies to drive the creation of strategic and operational solutions for clients within multiple industries.

Annual Salary: $216,700 - $241,000
