Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Austin, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology projects including data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle for the development of Cloud based technologies. Manage end-to end journey from On-Premise to Cloud by leading the design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration and APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Manage various aspects of the full software development life cycle for information technology projects including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff. Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers and testers; and work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications in connection to information technology projects.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience.

Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing Microsoft (MS) Azure DevOps, Agile methodology, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Kubernetes, and EKS SaaS Factory to guide design and development for cloud messaging, ground-to-cloud connectivity, strategy, op model transformation, development, integration and APIs, migration, infrastructure and engineering, and cloud managed services;
  • Participating in technical teams to architect, build, and deploy multi-cloud solutions by leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, Terraform, EKS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support enterprise clients;
  • Defining, tracking, and measuring overall department performance and metrics, creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources, and monitoring project progress through use of Atlassian Jira, MS Azure Boards and Test plans, and Octane;
  • Defining systems strategy and support procedures, developing systems requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing technology solutions using AWS Cloud Formation, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, and EKS;
  • Developing data migration plans from legacy platforms to private and public cloud platforms including AWS, MS Azure, Terraform, and GCP;
  • Guiding teams in designing solutions within cloud infrastructures using AWS, MS Azure, Terraform and, GCP; and
  • Participating in the development, communication, and implementation of organizations’ DevOps capabilities including continuous integration, test automation, delivery pipelines, and application monitoring by employing Jenkins, AWS, MS Azure, Terraform, Chef Automate, and Puppet.
