Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Detroit, Michigan and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology projects, including software advisory and implementation services to help bring world class Supply Chain network capabilities, operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics and industry-specific hybrid solutions. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization in connection with information technology projects, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability; design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Conduct business alignment and requirement workshops in relation to information technology projects to review current state supply chain processes, documenting key gaps and pain points, evaluating technology options and validating final functional and technical requirements. Manage the creation of walkthrough as-is and to-be process maps for information technology projects, confirming future state landscape and architecture, and translating the requirements into project designs. Interface directly with client stakeholders in process workshops during the design process to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, identify business processes, document process flow diagrams, and prepare business blueprint documents. Manage aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Candidate must also have three (3) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Coordinating day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision-makers at key clients;
  • Managing supply chain and product lifecycle transformations using SAP, Teamcenter and Windchill applications;
  • Developing integration strategy and architecture recommendations for integrating PLM and ERP capabilities and applications in the client’s landscape leveraging existing and emerging technologies;
  • Managing large-scale PLM and ERP implementations across organizations globally, driving program governance and managing client and stakeholder expectations;
  • Managing and performing system configuration to automate business processes for an end-to-end product lifecycle management, and digitization, utilizing various PLM capabilities including BOM management, Document management, Project and Portfolio Management, and Engineering Change Management;
  • Guiding project teams and project delivery, and tracking and resolving key issues and risks to budget, scope, and resources, utilizing standard project management tools including MS Project;
  • Overseeing the resolution of technical issues during project rollouts, utilizing issue resolution and tracking tools; and
  • Coordinating the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks and milestones as per the planned project plan.
