Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Austin, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology project engagements that lead clients through complex transitions that come with transactions and transformations that are part of that journey including: target identification and pre-deal due diligence; Merger and Acquisition (M&A) roadmaps, strategies, and synergy targets; and developing Day 1 projects and plans and post Day 1 planning and execution. Manage integrated, cross-functional teams that deliver M&A engagements across all phases of the M&A lifecycle including due-diligence, pre-close, and post-merger integration. Manage the organization design, policies, process maps, and performance measures utilizing operating model assessment methodology, spans and layer analysis, and industry benchmarking techniques. Manage the design, architecture, development, release, operation, and maintenance of software and advanced analytics products to help clients proactively plan and implement post-merger information technology integration activities as well as manage complex carve out information technology projects. Manage service excellence by identifying key business issues, determining needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis, and developing recommendations. Manage aspects of the information technology project proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Must also have 3 years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Participating in mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, investment and financing structures, disposition alternatives, and post-transaction activities, utilizing Datasite, SecureDocs, and Conga;
  • Analyzing operating effectiveness of business processes by testing processes around financial statement line items and providing recommendations to improve weaknesses and enhance business process quality, utilizing ITIL framework, Microsoft (MS) System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Oracle Business Process Management (BPM);
  • Conducting business plan reviews, operational due diligence, resource assessments, and M&A implementation planning, using revenue cycle assessments, operational blueprinting methodology, and operational due diligence playbook;
  • Conducting industry research, market research, client surveys, and project deliverable analysis to evaluate cost and value drivers for cost of goods sold, leveraging STAR method, 4P framework, 7Ps Marketing Mix, 2x2 Matrix, BCG Matrix and SWOT Analysis;
  • Leading workshop sessions with client stakeholders to gather, analyze and translate functional and technical requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs, utilizing Functional and Technical design requirement documents;
  • Participating in IT implementation projects for enterprise-level clients, including legacy system conversion and migration and coordinating with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders;
  • Providing subject matter expertise across components of IT engagements, including solution development for infrastructure, applications, operations, Active Directory, end-user computing, messaging, enterprise architecture and testing; and
  • Working across all phases of the M&A lifecycle including the design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation efforts for M&A engagements for enterprise-level clients, utilizing Jira and MS tools: Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
