Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Consultant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have one year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires one year of related work experience in each of the following:
• Designing and developing application and backend services using Sprint Boot, Spring Cloud, Java, Microservices, and Restful WEB Services;
• Creating web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Java Server Pages (JSP), and Angular JS to provide service data to users;
• Developing domain classes and database access methods using Java, Spring, Oracle PL SQL, My SQL DB, Hibernate, Toplink, Java DataBase Connectivity (JDBC), Java Persistence API (JPA), and Mongo DB;
• Developing services using cloud technologies AWS API Gatway, Lambda, Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Cloud formation, Simple Storage Service (S3), Azure functions App, and Storage containers;
• Rapid development and testing the code using IBM Websphere, Eclipse, Rapid Application Development (RAD) and commit code into repositories using GIT, Bitbucket, Modular Koloniation Sysyem (MKS), and Perforce;
• Creating technical design and unit test case documents to track test cases and issues utilizing JUnit and Mockito testing frameworks, conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using Postman, Chrome and MS Edge Web Browsers;
• Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow doing code reviews and identifying issues using SonarLint; and
• Deploying applications and services onto nonproduction and production environments using Openshift Container Platform and Teamcity.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week
