Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Consultant in Tampa, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Entity Relationship (ER) Diagram, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), and Lucidchart;
  • Creating web applications, using React.js, JavaScript, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS), Google Cloud SQL, and Go language to provide service and data to users;
  • Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), visualizations of data trends, and data models by utilizing Tableau and Power BI to support business and functional requirements within the Life Science and Healthcare industries;
  • Creating technical design and unit test case documents to track test cases and issues, utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD), Unit Testing, and JUnit;
  • Designing and developing applications, using React.js, JavaScript, REST API, Python, Java, Go language, Bitbucket, Linux, and Visual Studio (VS) Code Editor to meet functional needs for software applications;
  • Architecting, implementing, and supporting AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and MS Azure Cloud infrastructure and topologies;
  • Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development, utilizing Extract Transform Load (ETL) methodology, Data Warehousing, R, Python, Scala, MS Excel, and Azure Databricks;
  • Working with a team of developers to produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodology, Jira, and Apache JMeter.
