Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Consultant in Boston, Massachusetts and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Provide software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Help define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Research user reported issues with software systems, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions. Help manage the complexity inherent with technology change, from requirements planning to architecture, testing to deployment, and beyond, helping to link their IT programs to organizational goals. Drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems, sourcing analytical expertise and providing offerings for continuous insights and improvements.

  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Tracking implementation defects, coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details, utilizing Atlassian Jira, Microsoft (MS) Excel, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process;
  • Designing sub-components of larger systems, integrating applications with each other, and optimizing system structure, utilizing Jira, Tableau, MS Excel and Visio, and SDLC process;
  • Creating technical and functional system requirements, and use cases, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data and process models, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and SDLC process;
  • Gathering functional and technical requirements, and analyzing and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions to meet clients’ needs, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SDLC process;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables and status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to stakeholders, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SDLC process;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes, and environments to support project design of future-state and systems processes and environments, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and SDLC process;
  • Defining requirements, use cases, product management, and functional specifications, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, and SDLC process; and
  • Assisting with driving test strategy for large-scale programs and ensuring requirements traceability throughout system development lifecycle, utilizing Jira, MS Excel, and SDLC process.
