Deloitte Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Associate Vice President in Raleigh, North Carolina and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Lead information technology projects including the advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems, including data management, governance, and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments. Lead the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, including defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Build out asset portfolio for clients and increase the immersion and integration of existing assets with clients; leverage insights to evaluate opportunities, shape strategy on where to focus efforts and create a demand forecast for Deloitte services. Understand and articulate compelling value propositions around product(s) and services to accelerate client sales and adoption appetite. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Manage service excellence by identifying key issues for key accounts, determining project needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating, and validating analysis, and developing recommendations in the context of the overall engagement. Lead aspects of the proposal development process and develop proposal pricing strategies. Help secure relationships with qualified targets and decision makers to uncover opportunities; manage the pursuit process and act as a key advisor to the pursuit team throughout the sales process. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 4 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 6 years of progressive related work experience. Candidate must also have 4 years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure public cloud services to oversee advisory and implementation services and generate insights to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments;
  • Leading software engineering teams that perform data management, including master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, & data modeling, utilizing Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB;
  • Developing enterprise solutions and software methodologies utilizing Java, UNIX scripts, Python, and Scala;
  • Designing, developing, and leading teams on central log management systems, using Kafka and ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana);
  • Leading global project teams and project delivery on tracking and resolving key issues & risks, utilizing GitHub collaborative source control;
  • Overseeing the execution of client deliverables, including containerization technology per business specifications and agreed upon timelines, utilizing API, Java Spring, Docker, and Ansible;
  • Designing, developing, and implementing real time data pipelines systems, using EventHub, Cosmos DB, and Delta Lake on Azure cloud infrastructure;
  • Performing the role of counselor and coach, actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities, and providing leadership and support for teams and staff in local offices.
