Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a CONSULTANT, STRATEGY AND ANALYTICS, STRATEGY & ANALYTICS – CCG in New York, NY and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do 

DESIGN AND REVIEW INSURANCE POLICIES, ANNUITIES, PENSION PLANS, AND OTHER FINANCIAL CONTRACTS WITH PROJECT TEAM. RESEARCH RETIREMENT PLANS, INSURANCE POLICIES AND PREMIUMS, AND ACCIDENTS OR SICKNESS EXPENSES TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING OF PROJECT BACKGROUND. COLLECT, CONSOLIDATE, AND CLEAN DATA TO PREPARE FOR STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AND MODELING. APPLY APPROPRIATE SAMPLING TECHNIQUES TO ADVISE PROJECT TEAM ON SAMPLE SELECTION PROCESS IF A DATA COLLECTION STEP IS NECESSARY. UNDERSTAND BUSINESS BACKGROUND THROUGH QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH, REVIEW OF EXISTING DATA MODELS, AND STAKEHOLDER INTERVIEWS TO DEVELOP CLEAR OBJECTIVES FOR DATA ANALYTICS PROJECTS. ARCHITECT AND IMPLEMENT PREDICTIVE MODELS TO CALCULATE PROBABILITIES, IDENTIFY TRENDS, AND ASSESS RISKS. CREATE EFFECTIVE AND DETAILED REPORTS BACKED BY DATA ANALYSIS AND COMMUNICATE RESULTS WITH KEY DECISION MAKERS TO HELP WITH CONTRACTING AND NEGOTIATING FINANCIAL PRODUCTS OR INSURANCE PLANS. VALIDATE STATISTICAL FINDINGS WITH FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS TEAMS TO ALIGN ON UNDERSTANDINGS, CONDUCT WHAT-IF ANALYSIS AND PERFORM FORECASTING TO ESTIMATE THE FINANCIAL IMPACT OF EACH SCENARIO. SYNTHESIZE FINDINGS AND OUTPUTS INTO DETAIL RECOMMENDATIONS AND EXHIBITS TO SUPPORT FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS AND RISK ASSESSMENTS. PRESENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO KEY STAKEHOLDER DURING MEETINGS AND PROVIDE TECHNICAL EXPLANATIONS ON MODELS TO HELP DRIVE DATA-INFORMED DECISIONS AMONG STAKEHOLDERS.

Requirements 

BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS, ENGINEERING (ANY), OR A RELATED FIELD AND ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • COLLABORATING WITH PROJECT TEAM MEMBERS AND BUSINESS PROCESS EXPERTS TO COLLECT AND CONSOLIDATE EXISTING DATA IN DATA WAREHOUSE AND BIG DATA ENVIRONMENTS USING SQL (STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE) AND PYTHON, AND APPLYING SEMANTIC ANALYSIS AND TOKENIZATION NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING (NLP) METHODS TO TRANSFORM INFORMATION INTO PROCESSED DATA;
  • APPLYING STATISTICAL HYPOTHESIS TESTING, REGRESSION ANALYSIS, AND BAYESIAN INFERENCE ON PROCESSED DATA TO DETERMINE BEST APPROACH FOR SPECIFIC BUSINESS PROBLEM RESOLUTION;
  • DEVELOPING CLUSTERING, SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE (SVM), NEURAL NETWORKS, RANDOM FOREST, AND OTHER MACHINE LEARNING MODEL ALGORITHMS, USING R AND PYTHON;
  • EVALUATING MODEL ACCURACY AND COMPARING RESULTS FROM MULTIPLE MODELS BY APPLYING AUC-ROC (AREA UNDER THE ROC CURVE-RECEIVER OPERATING CHARACTERISTIC CURVE), GINI COEFFICIENT STATISTICAL TESTING METHODS AND OTHER LOSS FUNCTION EVALUATION METRICS;
  • CREATING REGRESSION, BOX PLOT AND PROBABILITY TABLES USING TABLEAU, TO DEMONSTRATE THE FINDINGS AND PROVIDING EXPLANATION OF THE CORRELATIONS AMONG DIFFERENT VARIABLES; AND
  • SYNTHESIZING FINDINGS AND OUTPUTS INTO DETAIL RECOMMENDATIONS TO PRESENT TO KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND PROVIDING TECHNICAL EXPLANATION ON MODELS TO HELP DRIVE DATA-INFORMED DECISIONS AMONG STAKEHOLDERS.
