Deloitte Services LP seeks a Consultant, EFA in New York, NY.

Work You’ll Do

Support one or more engagement teams with the financial analysis and reconciliation processes and the implementation of engagement management controls. Perform various financial analyses, including reconciliations and variance analysis. Assist with budget preparation activities and forecasts. Project and track financial metrics, including revenue and expense. Interact frequently with senior level internal and external clients and firm leadership to present various analyses, discuss recommendations, create staffing plans, and provide engagement financial advice. Track expenditures, client bill, and receivable collection functions. Develop and implement standards and processes for engagement management, quality management, and risk management. Train and delegate tasks to junior staff and offshore resources, and review deliverables created by the same for quality and accuracy.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field  (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • One year of experience in conducting variance analysis to report financial metrics and assess project performance.
  • Experience must include one year of:
    • Performing revenue forecasts and cash flow analysis for multiple clients to determine project profitability and developing pricing models and evaluating profitability scenarios to determine pricing optimization for project proposals;
    • Performing financial analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of KPIs and analyzing engagement economics to determine project margins;
    • Implementing financial processes for delivering project outcomes in accordance with contracts and budgets;
    • Reviewing product deliverables and establishing controls to ensure quality and integrity of financial reports;
    • Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel, Excel VBA, and business analysis tools to monitor project progress and identify business opportunities and track financials;
    • Developing volume rebate program, menu pricing and fee arrangement proposals by refining the scope of work, building task codes, and performing financial analyses, including margin analysis and scenario analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel;
    • Creating financial summaries, management reports, revenue and expense charts, slides, and dashboards to drive engagement efficiency and profitability utilizing queries and SAP business tools;
    • Developing project maps and post-mortem reviews for Microsoft Excel financial models and formalizing project management utilizing Microsoft Excel Data Manager, SharePoint, and Teams;
    • Assisting in the creation of data governance templates using Excel VBA, SAP Analytics, and database queries to improve data quality and accuracy, provide timely financial reporting, and facilitate a shared understanding of financial metrics and data sources; and
    • Working with offshore teams.
