Rewards & Well-being Compensation Strategies Senior Consultant

Work you’ll do

As a Compensation Strategies Senior Consultant within the Workforce Transformation practice you will use your knowledge of and experience with HR strategy, capability, and service delivery to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  • Working closely with a large team to deliver results for your client
  • Lead and manage teams or workstreams to contribute to the overall project success
  • Maintaining a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate
  • Enjoying the opportunity to forge strong relationships with both the client and project team that will contribute to your growth and development

As a Deloitte Consulting Compensation Strategies Senior Consultant in the Reward & Well-Being practice within Deloitte’s Human Capital group, you will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Develop total rewards compensation studies for a variety of clients
  • Support the implementation of a new compensation programs, policies, or regulations
  • Collaborate with clients to conduct performance metrics studies
  • Prepare client reports including exhibits and summaries
  • Participate in broader firm projects including performance management, employee benefits, retirement, healthcare, performance optimization, cash/non-cash reward and recognition
  • Participate in marketing initiatives including support for developing compensation work and methodology approaches, writing, and supporting proposals and conducting surveys
  • Contribute to intellectual eminence and the development of firm viewpoints on a variety of total rewards topics

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of compensation experience
  • Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • 4+ years of external consulting experience
  • Experience in compensation functions and processes, with experience in one or more of the following areas: Job Architecture, Compensation program design, compensation functional design, M&A integration support
  • Experience managing staff and leading small to medium sized teams
  • Strong client presence with project management, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to succeed in team-based or independent environments
  • Well-organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously
  • Ability to create and manage client relationships and develop business
