Position Summary

The Cognos Report Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reports/dashboards in Cognos and will work with business users to translate business requirements into multifunctional reports 


Work you’ll do 

• Responsible for developing Cognos reports/dashboards to meet the needs of stakeholders

• Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager Models and Data Modules (Relational and Dimensional) to support business requirements

• Provides support on reporting functions including maintenance, development and performance enhancement

• Possess working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse concepts

• Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution

• Coordinate with testers and release management to integrate the new reports/dashboards into production

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 2-3+ years of experience with developing solutions in Cognos (11.0 or higher preferred)
  • Experience with multiple database platforms
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

 

Preferred: 

  • Master's degree
  • 5 years of experience developing solutions in Cognos 11.0 or higher
  • Certifications in Cognos administration Reporting or modeling
  • Experience with multiple database platforms
