Work you’ll do
- Support the Program Executive Office Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB) and Logistics Information Technology (LOG IT)
- You will be part of the Engineering team tasked with modernizing the U.S. Navy’s logistics capabilities, including maritime maintenance, aviation maintenance, and supply.
- Information system environments include AWS GovCloud, Navy Afloat systems (CANES ACS, ISNS, TSCE), deployable laptop servers and mobile tablets for US Navy and US Marine Corps.
- Technologies include cloud, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Containerized applications, and Microsoft MSIs
- Perform Cloud architecting and Engineering of PEO MLB LOG IT systems
- Design and maintain Identity and Access Management solutions
- Perform data engineering, migration, and transformation activities
- Perform Doman Name Service (DNS) and Active Directory (AD) integration
- Implement an agile development process and an adaptable architecture for continuous modernization, integration, migration
- Provide written comments and recommendations for the Government-designated tracking system(s) for any actions taken.
- Develop, maintain, implement, and continuously improve LOG IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/ DevSecOps
- Integrate Platform and DevSecOps Pipeline
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve an Integrated DevSecOps Data Environment (IDDE)
- Support development and implementation of a data management strategy that addresses transactional structured data, metadata, data tagging, a data taxonomy, the hierarchical relationship to other data, data protection requirements, and the data life cycle which includes initial entry, validation, update, and deletion as well as the required permissions to complete those actions and the acceptable and unacceptable usage of the data.
- Engineer, operate, administer, and maintain the PaaS, including the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) path to production pipeline in a DevSecOps framework, which includes but is not limited to: environments for development, test, pre-production, training, production, and failover.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing between a pre-production instance a failover location
- Record and document all baselines using government approved tools and processes

Qualifications
Required:
- Must have an active Secret clearance to be considered
- Bachelor’s degree required in either Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics from an accredited college or university.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in software engineering, data engineering, network engineering or systems engineering
- At least five (5) years’ experience in cloud engineering
- Must meet IAT-III DOD 8570 certification requirements (CISSP, GSE, SCNA, CISA or similar) and related environment training certification (Linux, Windows, Cloud or similar) or able to acquire certifications within six months of start date.
- OpenShift Container Platforms, Docker, Forgerock Identity Access Management, Confluent, Apache Kafka
- Java/Spring-Boot, Python, C# MVC Web API, WebSockets, Node.js/React, Pytorch Neural Network, scikit-learn PCA Custom Built-in neural network engine, p5.js/Canvas, Tensorflow, ASP-NET
- Experience with Databases such as, Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostGres
- Experience with Operating Environments for Windows, Linux, Virtual Machines, and Cloud Containers
