Position Summary

Work you’ll do 


Deloitte is currently searching for top secret cleared data engineers to join an agile development team supporting a federal agency's data needs. This role will include:


  • Develop and design data pipelines to support an end-to-end solution             
  • Develop and maintain artifacts i.e. schemas, data dictionaries, and transforms related to ETL processes
  • Integrate data pipelines with AWS cloud services to extract meaningful insights
  • Manage production data within multiple datasets ensuring fault tolerance and redundancy
  • Design and develop robust and functional dataflows to support raw data and expected data
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for deployed applications and dataflows
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications
  • Collaborate with the rest of data engineering team to design and launch new features. Includes coordination and documentation of dataflows, capabilities, etc.

 

Required


  • Top Secret Clearance or higher - must currently be active
  • 6+ years in cloud architecture and enabling tools
  • 6+ years in software platforms and services like Docker, Kubernetes, JMS/SQS, SNS, Kafka, AWS, ext.
  • 6+ years in JavaScript, Elasticsearch, JSON, SQL, and XML
  • 6+ years in datastores like MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, S3, Redshift, JDBC/ODBC, and Redis
  • 6+ years in collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • 6+ years of overall experience in a data engineering environment
  • Ability to support a hybrid schedule in Washington DC.

  • Bachelors Degree
**A Masters Degree can substitute 2 yrs of exp. A PhD can sub for 4 yrs of exp.**
