Client Delivery Consultant - Health Care Provider Analytics (Intellect Product Suite Assessments)

 ConvergeHEALTH is a part of Deloitte Consulting’s Core Industry Solutions and supports data-driven transformation of healthcare by enabling healthcare and life sciences organizations to answer the “hard questions” —what works, for whom, why, in what context, and at what cost?

 As a Client Delivery Consultant, you will be aligned to the Client Delivery team of ConvergeHEALTH’s Intellect product suite, a solution within the Core Industry Solutions practice. The Intellect product suite, inclusive of Revenue Intellect, Care Intellect, and CareModel Insights, is a set of managed, hosted analytics solutions specifically focused on helping our health care provider clients maximize financial margin and operational performance through key focus areas such as revenue cycle optimization and clinical variation management. You will work to facilitate the request and validation of client data sources that integrate into products used to support quantitative revenue cycle and clinical effectiveness assessments.  You will subsequently work – partnering with consulting engagement teams – to analyze the data from a functional standpoint and identify areas of improvement for our clients.

Work You’ll Do: 

  • Client facilitation – working with our clients to communicate data needs, ensure their understanding (from both a business and technology standpoint), and act as a primary point of contact during the assessment delivery process
  • Delivery management – planning, tracking, and reporting engagement progress using structured tools and methodologies
  • Data validation/profiling - reviewing client data to ensure validity and completeness; identifying, investigating, and resolving issues and irregularities in data and working with clients to revise data inputs as necessary. Ensuring data interpretations are accurate and well communicated
  • Domain-based insight development and operational guidance – utilize analytical capabilities and healthcare subject matter knowledge to review client data and the analytics produced by our applications in order to identify performance trends and areas of operational improvement opportunities (e.g. denials reduction, AR management, care variation, etc.) that will lead to increased financial margins
  • Executive communication – preparing client-ready deliverables and presenting findings and recommendations to project and/or client leadership
  • Relationship development – establishing relationships with Deloitte on-site project team users to help drive further adoption of the application throughout the assessment lifecycle of the project
  • Training - conducting training sessions on Intellect™ software for Deloitte on-site project team users following application go-live
  • Product development input – liaising with our product development team to communicate potential application enhancements for future releases that have been identified through conversations with both internal and external clients (i.e. voice of the customer)


The Team:

The client delivery team is a tight-knit, collaborative team composed of both technical and functional (i.e. this role) colleagues working together on a daily basis to serve our clients.  As part of the team, you will be working with client stakeholders (health care provider systems) and Deloitte project teams to implement Intellect suite solutions at client organizations. You will help Deloitte on-site teams at clients ramp up on the solution through virtual trainings, deliver managed analytics/operational insights to our teams as deliverables on an assessment project, build  relationships, and promote the continued adoption of Revenue and Care Intellect. You will straddle the fence between business and technology, using analytical expertise and healthcare domain knowledge to solve real world healthcare business problems and provide operational insights to our clients.



  • A BA/BS degree from a top-tier institution in information systems/informatics, health care administration, analytics, or other relevant focus areas
  • 2-5 years’ experience in health care management consulting, health care technology startups, or other related fields (e.g. general consulting, revenue cycle management, health care finance, clinical operations)
  • A strong ability to understand, profile/validate and wrangle large data sets, as well as concisely communicate and document the outcomes from these activities
  • Working knowledge/familiarity and interest in SQL, business intelligence platforms (e.g. Qlik, Tableau), or other advanced analytical tools 
  • A strong ability to summarize the “so what?” within data, and leverage domain knowledge to tie data back to the business implications and insights it supports
  • Experience in improving operations within a health care provider, specifically around revenue cycle management (denials management/prevention, billing/AR, patient access, vendor management, etc.) and clinical operations/efficiency 
  • Experience with coordinating internal and external stakeholders during the planning, management and delivery of technology projects
  • The ability to develop and foster strong working relationships with internal and external clients in a virtual setting
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong self and audience awareness when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • A willingness to travel up to 10%


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, health informatics, information systems, or a related field
  • Familiarity with healthcare data (e.g. EDI, bills, claims, claim remittances, EMR/interoperability standards – FHIR, etc.)
  • Account management experience in a startup or subscription-based environment
  • Experience with presenting to clients across various levels and roles (i.e., early career level analysts through C-suite Executives)
