Chief of Staff-Deloitte’s Green Dot Agency (Enabling Manager)

Position Summary

The Chief of Staff is responsible for the support and execution of the Green Dot Agency’s—as part of the broader Marketing Excellence’s—vision and priorities both in terms of providing strategic guidance and driving/supporting the implementation of key initiatives. This role represents a unique opportunity to advance strategic planning and advisory skills, enhance operations management, and understand how to develop and execute strategies in a complex business environment at the direction of senior leadership within the firm.

Responsibilities

Strategic Priorities:

  • Serve as the voice of the GDA Leader in meetings, driving the GDA/ME vision
  • Lead 2-3 strategic initiatives at any given time for the Green Dot Agency
  • Maintain a pulse on all strategic initiatives, ensuring progress and alignment with the vision, and providing counsel to project leaders as needed
  • Anticipated key focus areas/strategic priorities over the next year:
    • Advance GDA’s talent strategy in alignment with our Agile transformation and broader NGM evolution, and in collaboration with GDA leadership, the Agile Office, and Strategic Resource Management
    • Streamline operational aspects of the Agency’s business management including talent and operational tracking
    • Support GDA Leadership team’s succession planning

Communications:

  • Collaborate with comms professionals to cascade leadership messaging across all levels of the organization
  • Develop programming around standing call series (e.g., weekly GDA Leadership meeting, GDA Sr. Mgrs. monthly meeting, Green Dot Planning, Campaign Showcase)

Relationship Management:

  • Collaborate and build deep relationships across the Marketing Excellence organization, including with GDA extended leadership, ME CoS’ and Ops leads, ME Operations, Strategic Resource Management, Finance, Talent
  • Be an advisor and confidant to GDA extended leaders

Qualifications

  • Ability to be extremely nimble as you manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to interact and interface with all levels across Marketing Excellence, including top leadership
  • Demonstrated executive presence and experience managing highly sensitive people and business matters
  • Ability to balance, lead and advance multiple projects at once
  • Unyielding focus on quality results (analyses and deliverables)
  • Success and comfort operating in an unstructured environment and leading through ambiguity
  • Ability to influence across many constituents
  • Flexibility, agility, and willingness to adapt on the fly
  • Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate quantitative and qualitative analysis into a clear message and an informed response for leadership
  • Knowledge of firm and Marketing Excellence financials a plus

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86425 to $159165.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
