Work you’ll do
The candidate will support the Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear (R/N), and Operational Support Specialist programs. Experience includes the fields of emergency management, public health, or CBRN-specific policy/national security work. This role involves collaboration with a core team, including a senior staff member and an R/N subject matter expert (SME). Candidates with strong writing and communication skills are particularly well-suited for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct background research and draft preliminary reports on key topics as directed by the Branch Lead.
- Develop draft materials for guidance documents, training courses, and client briefings, ensuring proper document formatting and logical content flow.
- Assist in the development of training courses using Articulate software (prior experience not required).
- Support and/or lead interagency discussion forums.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of check-in meetings, ensuring appropriate attendees are invited and follow-up actions are communicated.
- Contribute to the Monthly Progress Report (MPR) and maintain the branch activity tracker with weekly updates.

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 11 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 9 years of experience and a Master’s degree required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be local to Washington DC and able to come onsite in Washington DC.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance for this role.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear (R/N), and Operational Support Specialist programs.
- 3+ years of technical writing or planning guidance writing to include: developing draft materials for guidance documents, training courses, client briefings, or ensuring proper document formatting and logical content flow
Preferred:
- Active Security Clearance
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,663 to $179,438.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
