Channel Engagement Lead

Innovation & Platforms (I&P) is part of Deloitte Consulting’s New Business Innovation (NBI) team, which collaboratively evaluates new technologies and trends—sensing, incubating, and scaling the development of assets to augment the firm’s leading services. NBI drives Consulting’s asset-based agenda and supports its hybrid offerings, building a culture of continuous innovation to address our clients’ most pressing business challenges, deliver tangible results in the near-term, and create sustainable competitive advantage for the firm.

The Practice Engagement (PE) team is a key liaison between NBI and the Networks (Offering Portfolios, Industries) within the core Consulting practice. PE collaborates with Consulting’s Innovation and Asset Leaders (I&AL), their asset teams and stakeholders to cultivate and grow/enable their hybrid (asset-based) strategic priorities.

We are currently seeking a strategic-minded individual who will collaborate with NBI’s leadership to build awareness and engagement among Consulting’s core services practice and help solidify usage and deployment of High Growth Businesses throughout the networks.

Work You’ll Do

As part of the Deloitte PE team, you will primarily support Network communications and collaboration efforts by defining and executing a comprehensive engagement strategy to foster the relationships with Network Innovation & Asset Leaders (I&AL).

The ideal candidate has experience engaging stakeholders at different levels of leadership in a variety of settings, on a wide range of topics, and with a strategic mix of tools and channels. This position will be responsible for ongoing communication on both strategic and operational topics and ensuring appropriate orchestration with all other NBI messaging (internal and external).

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the execution of our internal engagement and corresponding communications strategy to build awareness and understanding of NBI and I&P, our capabilities, and services.
  • Leverage the engagement strategy to proactively foster and grow Deloitte’s Hybrid Offerings and High Growth Businesses partnering with the Networks in a sustainable way.
  • Clearly define measurable success metrics for I&P’s engagement strategy; manage the capture, analysis, and development of key insights from these metrics to inform an evolved strategy (surveys, polls, PoliteMail metrics, etc.).
  • Support ongoing meetings and workshops with practice PMDs, ensuring key priorities are being communicated in a compelling way
  • Identify creative ways to successfully communicate key messages, both strategic and operational, to varying leadership levels throughout the Network; understand and optimize communication preferences among different audience archetypes.
  • Work with a variety of I&P and NBI stakeholders to ensure compelling and consistent messaging, along with orchestrated timing, across all disseminated communications.
  • Work with Learning & Development teams to develop Hybrid and High Growth Business trainings that can be leveraged by the networks.
  • Participate in NBI-wide meetings as needed as PE’s representative

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional ability to storyboard, present, and facilitate of meetings
  • Understanding of Technology Assets, Hybrid Offerings and the changing professional services landscape
  • Understanding of Deloitte internal processes and procedures
  • Understanding of various internal marketing channels, tools, and engagement tactics required; ability to configure these different elements into a comprehensive set of optimized activities is a must
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to succinctly tell a clear and compelling story
  • Experience presenting findings/deliverables and facilitating for senior leadership as well as technical and non-technical executives and audiences
  • Project Management experience facilitating between technical project teams and diverse business groups
  • Deep understanding of one or more target sectors, industries, or functional areas (i.e. proximity to the market and understanding of the pressures to sell/monetize assets)
  • Understanding of key principles of corporate innovation, ideation, and design thinking methodology
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with senior internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and drive successful outcomes cross-functionally

 (This is primarily a virtual role. When COVID restrictions lift, it will include 10-15% travel requirements. The travel includes going to Atlanta for 3 days each month)

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a self-starter mentality, the ability to manage competing priorities, and comfort in dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently while directing and/or supporting other team members in a virtual environment
  • Detailed oriented / proactive in identifying and managing action items, issues and risks
  • Adept at pivoting and balancing conflicting timelines and team priorities
  • Comfort working with all levels of the organization – this role will require directly supporting multiple PPMDs
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications: (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
